Designing since 2020.
Going into that year, I was working as a marketer but felt like something was missing. One day, I randomly took a Myers & Briggs test that churned out a career suggestion called 'UX Design'.
Curiosity got the best of me and I took a few weeks to dig deeper into the field. It felt like it was calling out to me, as I always loved design and have an altruistic and curious nature. The concept of creative problem solving for the sake of others sounded compelling.
I decided to bring on the challenge of teaching myself UX after taking an intro course and the rest was history.
My journey so far
2024 - Present | Freelancing / Upskilling
Designing UX/UI for client websites and learning to build extensions/apps using AI tools for fun.
2023 - 2024 | Personal break
Took a 6 month personal break to travel the world, recharge, and reflect.
2022 - 2023 | Dayslice
As the founding designer, I helped transform their MVP from 0 to 1 to help servicepreneurs manage their business easier. I advocated for the importance of the user experience by intersecting it with business goals and product strategy.
2022 - 2022 | Upperstudy
A startup helping designers collaborate with other startups. I learned the ropes in thinking through design decisions, communicating with stakeholders, and developing exciting, new concepts for each project I was on.
2021 - 2022 | Ting-Clink
Designing web and mobile application for a sustainable food delivery app and learned the complex environment of working with limited resources, data, and designing for multiple platforms.
2020 - 2021 | Self-taught UX
Finding UX as my new passion. I took a year to teach myself the fundamentals of UI/UX and developed personal projects.
2019 - 2020 | NCRVA
First marketing job where I learned to redesign the UX of our website, develop content strategy for social media, and maintain relationships with potential/existing clients in the ophthalmology field (and bring them cupcakes).
